Required documents for Schengen visa
When applying for a Schengen visa to Europe, you will need to collect the following documents:
- Passport (original) – valid for 6+ months, 2+ blank pages
- UAE residence visa – valid for 4+ months
- 2 recent photos on white background (standard-sized)
- Account statement from your bank (original) for the past 3 months – issued within a week prior to the submission of the application
- No-objection certificate from your employer
- For business owners – proof of ownership (such as the trade license)

It does. For example, visas for Denmark are notoriously easier to obtain than French ones.

What are the reasons my application can be rejected?
If you fail to provide the necessary documents, have a criminal past, do not have enough wherewithal to travel, etc., your application is likely to be rejected.
Is an interview required for a Schengen visa?
There is no Interview, but your personal submission is required.
When should I submit my application?
You can do it within six months of your planned entrance date, but no later than fifteen working days prior to it.
Who is considered a sponsor for a Schengen visa?
Only first-degree relatives can be such sponsors.
What format does my bank statement need to be?
The Schengen regulations require that your bank statement is presented in the A4 format.

Is having my fingerprints taken necessary?
It is, you will have to submit your fingerprints and your photo to get the Schengen visa.
How much bank statement is required for Schengen visa?
A personal bank statement indicating your financial movements (for at least 3 last months) with a minimum of 10K AED.
